Earthship - Second Visit

Visited the Earthship again on Saturday. Kenny's brother, Timothy, and his wife, Carolyn, were over helping him saw wood. Vendoni was in Osage Beach teaching yoga. Timothy is a carpenter, and most of their conversation revolved around construction.

The chickens had just laid their first batch of eggs of the year this morning.

Kenny jokingly asks Timothy to use his pocketknife hammer to hammer in a giant nail.

The long drive home.

Endangered Languages: Mashu White Feather (Cherokee)

Cherokee, the last remaining Southern Iroquois language, has about 16,000 to 22,000 speakers in the United States. It is being taught on the two federally recognized Cherokee reservations, but young people living in communities outside the reservations are rapidly shifting towards using English.
